A five year old boy from Derbyshire is amongst the inventors featured in The British Library’s top 15 inventions of the last year.
Sam Heighton was watching his father use two brooms to sweep up when he was inspired by Wallace & Gromit to tie two brooms together using a rubber band to create an “improved broom”.
Also among the list is a self-warming baby bottle, a portable water filter bottle and a very cool off-road wheelchair which gives users access to whole new spaces and environments.
The exhibition in London, which is on now until the 28th November, explores the story behind each exhibition. For more information about the exhibition and opening times visit http://www.bl.uk.
